Cavalcade 200 Gala
Whitwell & Reepham Railway: Cavalcade Gala – Celebrating 200 Years of Rail!
Join us for a fantastic weekend as the Whitwell & Reepham Railway proudly presents its Cavalcade Gala, a special event marking 200 years of railway travel!
Join us for an intensive timetable featuring up to four locomotives, including both steam and diesel, operating throughout the weekend. Trains will be running from 11 am until 4:30 pm. Experience the thrill of brake van rides, demonstration goods trains, double headers, and top and tail workings. Please note that all locomotives and rolling stock are subject to availability, and there will be no driver experiences available.
The site will be open to the public from 10:30 am until 6 pm. You can also explore the signal box, which will be open for visitors (please note the workshop will be closed).
Tickets for all-day travel are available at the following prices:
- Adult Rover Tickets: £8
- Child Rover Tickets: £5
- W&RRPS Members: £3
- Family Tickets: £20
Entry to the site is free! Parking for the event is available at Reepham High School, with disabled parking conveniently located at the station site. A free shuttle service will be running to and from the station, making your journey even easier.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Don’t miss the model railway show taking place in the Sidings Function Room. This exhibition will feature a diverse range of scales and gauges, along with dedicated trade support for all your model railway needs. Entry to the model railway show is free, though donations are very welcome.
When you get hungry, The Sidings will be serving hot food and drinks from their regular menu.
